On our way

We have managed to get a mountain bike that was donated by someone from Cape Town. It's an awesome bike with front shock and is in excellent condition. The bike was handed over to Nicholas and Christopher on Saturday 19th September, as they are good friends and they can share the bike until we are able to source more so that each one can have their own. Not all bikes are going to be in such good and so Nicholas and Christopher will assist the other riders in repairing their bikes.

If you have a bike that we can use, you do not need to give it away as long as we can use it until the end of the Argus 2010, please let us know, even if it is not in a good condition.

It was a gratifying day knowing that our dreams are becoming reality.

Getting going

We have made the plea for unused bikes, and had an offer, hoping to get more in. Some other people have also volunteered to help and I am sure we will be able to make use of their expertise.

So far it looks like we have around 8 riders, but some still need to be approached while others still need to introduced to the selectors.

So here goes

We have started identifying a number of people to ride. It would be good to get a mix of ages of both males and females. At this stage we have asked around 7 people who seem very interested in doing the cycle tour. It's quite a task and getting capable people who are willing might still prove to be a challenge. Once we have their commitment we will publish names and profiles on each.

Anyone who can assist is welcome to contact me.
